Planning Update – South Worcestershire Development Plan and other opportunities/obstacles for developments in Herefordshire & Worcestershire

Stephen Holloway will explain the current status of the South Worcestershire Development Plan, what the process and timescales are likely to be, and what opportunities the delays create for developers.
Ros Andrews will then take us through the latest planning law developments and the practical implications of these, covering obstacles from CIL to Michael Gove!
Stephen Holloway
Stephen works in the Worcester office as part of the South West Planning team and is involved with providing advice on providing advice on planning development opportunities. He advises
and assists clients on various aspects of planning development, including General Permitted Development interpretation, submission of planning applications inclusive of planning policy interpretation and local plan representations. Stephen started his career in planning following his graduation from the University of Worcester with a degree in Physical and Human Geography.
Stephen has also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental and Spatial Planning from Birmingham City University. Stephen joined Fisher German in April 2018 following an eight-year spell with Wychavon District Council where he was responsible for the assessment of a vast array of planning developments.

Ros specialises in planning law with her work ranging from strategic planning advice, to judicial review and planning enforcement issues, to Section 106 Agreements. She acts on behalf of a variety of clients, with particular experience of acting for developers and promoters in relation topromoters in relation to residential development. She also acts on behalf of landowners, lenders, registered providers of affordable housing, and local authorities, as well as third parties with an interest in the planning process, such as local residents’ groups.
Ros is a contributing author to LexisNexis PSL’s planning law guidance, and contributed to the planning chapter of ‘Property Development’ published by the Law Society. She is also recognised in the Legal 500 as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ in the West Midlands region.
