PIP & CE Nottingham Club Relaunch
CE Midlands is all set to launch a best practice group in Nottingham following a surge in regeneration activity in the city.
Capitalising on major projects in the city and wider region, Constructing Excellence Midlands is pleased to announce the launch of a Nottingham branch of its successful best practice clubs. These meet regularly to map the best route forward for the construction industry across the region.
Led by the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Marc Priete and Dr Amrit Sagoo, head of Nottingham Trent University’s construction management and quantity surveying department, the club is now actively looking for committee members to help direct the group.
Andrew Carpenter, chief executive, Constructing Excellence Midlands, said: “With major regeneration projects such as the Broad Marsh and The Island Quarter in the city centre, and government funding targeted at surrounding areas such as Beeston, Stapleford and Bulwell, the construction scene in Nottingham is more vibrant than it has been for decades.
“Constructing Excellence has always had a strong presence in the East Midlands, so establishing a Nottingham Club to discuss best practice and encourage cross-industry collaboration was a natural next step.
“We’re now looking for forward-thinking members of our industry to get involved and help us take the next steps in helping establish the club to ensure long-lasting outcomes.”
The club will launch at a joint event with People in Property (PIP) networking, which is relaunching after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
Carpenter said: “We strongly encourage anyone with an interest in promoting the very best for the construction industry in the region to attend and register their interest in getting involved.
“A rising tide lifts all boats, and we want to make sure that the very best in collaborative minds are getting together to form the Nottingham Club.”
The joint Constructing Excellence and PIP event takes place at Binks Yard, 1 The Island Quarter, Nottingham, on Thursday, 29 September at 6pm.
