National Rehabilitation Centre Site Tour with presentations from Arup and Sir Robert McAlpine
The National Rehabilitation Centre won the Net Zero Award in the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards 2023.
What was most striking about the project was how the Net Zero outcome was embedded in the project objectives as a key project driver from the outset.
The 70-bed facility is being built alongside the Defence Medical Centre and promises to transform clinical rehabilitation in England, whilst also serving as a demonstration of how to deliver Net Zero Carbon Buildings.
Construction is now well under way and this is your opportunity to gain insight into how sustainable/Net Zero principles were built into the design process and how operational and embodied carbon is being addressed to reduce whole life carbon emissions.
