A pre work Niksen Walk – A 4-mile circular walk from Birmingham New Street and along the canal towpaths through a little green oasis in the heart of the city.

Join Jo Jones for some Niksen time before heading in to work. Niksen is the art of doing not a lot without purpose.

Jo suggests that if you have some spare time before the day starts and want to get a bit of exercise, then join her for a stroll to clear your mind and just be. This is also an opportunity to meet and chat to others on the walk.

The route is a 4-mile circular walk from Birmingham city centre along leafy canal towpaths and through the University of Birmingham’s green space.

Some of the areas we walk in are paved, but in parts may not be, so could be a little muddy, uneven, and slippery at times so please remember to wear appropriate footwear and clothing to suit the weather on the day of the walk.

Everyone taking part in CE Black Country and Midlands Niksen walk does so at their own risk.

· 8:30am meet at Costa Coffee on Navigation Street (the back of New Street Station)

· Grab a coffee on the go (Buy your own)

· 8:45 walk starts

· Approximately 10:30 the walk ends outside the Exchange on Centenary square.
