Faye is an Associate Director at Arup.  She specialises in all things flood risk, resilience, and integrated water management.  She has extensive global and local experience, starting her career in Australasia, before returning home to Birmingham, all whilst also working on projects in China, Europe and the Americas.  Faye leads the water team for Arup in Birmingham, and she advises environmental regulators, water companies, infrastructure providers, local councils and other statutory bodies on all elements of flood risk and water management.

She has worked on local projects such as HS2 and developed Birmingham city’s guide to Sustainable Drainage.  She is an advocate for resilient approaches and has supported the likes of Network Rail with the development of its corporate level Water Management Strategy, advising such organisations on how to deal with current and future water challenges.

Specialising in all manner of construction procurement and having extensive experience of a wide range of sectors, I advise national and regional developers, employers, funders, contractors and consultant clients in relation to commercial and residential development, healthcare, leisure, retail, education and infrastructure projects.

I have expertise in the procurement, drafting and negotiating of all forms of construction documentation; including industry standard (JCT, NEC etc) or bespoke forms of contract, consultants’ appointments (RIBA, RICS, ICE etc), development agreements, novation agreements, letters of intent, collateral warranties, third party rights, letters of reliance, parent company guarantees and performance bonds.

I have many years of experience acting on behalf of high street funders, challenger banks, private funders and borrowers in respect of development finance.

In addition, I often support and advise clients and the professional team in respect of the effect of the construction documentation during the lifecycle of the project.

I am a visiting lecturer at Birmingham City University having also lectured at Aston University.

I am actively engaged in the construction industry having previously chaired or sat on strategic boards for a number of industry specific and best practice organisations.

As a Senior Consultant working in the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality division of Turner & Townsend, Sandeep has experience working in various consultancy advisory roles. Currently working as an Internal Quality Auditor, Trainer and Principal Designer on various construction projects.

Dan is a Partner at Baily Garner, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy based in London and Birmingham. His main role is lead for the Birmingham office, where he has oversight of the team. Dan is also a Chartered Architect and is directly involved in a range of residential, education, commercial and bluelight projects across the Midlands.

Since stepping into the lead role in Birmingham, Dan has developed Baily Garner’s apprenticeship programme to support the company’s “Grow Our Own” ethos. This has involved establishing partnerships with local schools and colleges, as well as other businesses, to offer a range of apprenticeship opportunities and meaningful work placements. Dan has also lead the company’s first T-Level placements.

Dan’s passion for promoting careers in the construction industry places him in a great position as the chair of the Future Skills theme group for CE Midlands.
