HAWCE NMITE site visit
Join HAWCE for a site visit at the new NMITE Skylon Campus in Hereford
Based in Hereford, NMITE (New Model Institute for Technology & Engineering) is a future new provider of higher education which intends to transform engineering education in Britain.
The Centre for Advanced Timber Technology (CATT) is to be the first building which will form Skylon – NMITE’s second campus, located in the Hereford Enterprise Zone, alongside the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM). The project is due to complete this summer, and is being built by regional contractor, Speller Metcalfe.
The project has been procured through the Pagabo Medium Works framework and will focus on advanced manufacturing and production techniques, showcasing the practical uses of timber as a sustainable construction material.
This is a numbers limited event, so if you would like to attend please sign up to avoid disappointment. All attendees will need to be in hard hats, hi vis and steel toe capped boots (or hardwearing shoes / boots as an alternative).
